Dr. Kavieff graduated from Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine (MSUCOM) in 1984, earning the Fred Mitchell, Sr, D.O. Award given to the student in the class that the faculty felt has the best manipulative skills. After completing a rotating internship at Riverside Osteopathic Hospital in Trenton, MI in 1985, and completing a Family Medicine Residency at MSUCOM in 1987, he joined Feasterville Family Practice in Feasterville, PA., where he was also an adjunct faculty member at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. In 1989 Dr. Kavieff and his wife Cindy returned to Michigan to be around their families and their first child, Alexandra, was born in 1990. He joined Milford Family Practice and worked there until 1993 when he became an employee of Botsford General Hospital where he worked until 2000. Dr. Kavieff was the founding Director of the Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine Residency at Botsford and began his own private practice, The Center for Complementary Medicine (CCM), in 2000.
At CCM, Dr. Kavieff provided holistic primary care with an emphasis on Traditional Osteopathy, Nutritional Therapy, and Medical Acupuncture, which he learned at UCLA. After several years of practice of Complementary Medicine, he decided to limit his practice to Traditional Osteopathy and in 2025 established StillWorks. The practice name is a double entendre reflecting the founder of Osteopathy, A. T. Still, and that Dr. Kavieff is still working beyond 70. Dr. Kavieff plans to practice into his 80’s like his many mentors did. He enjoys seeing all ages and types of patients, from newborns through patients in their 90’s, from Division 1 and professional athletes to weekend warriors and couch potatoes. He feels blessed to have found Traditional Osteopathy, and is very grateful to his many mentors, and pays it forward by mentoring other physicians.

When he works on me his hands are really warm and like magic. He never hurts me and I feel so much better after. He is super nice and when I was little I wasn’t afraid of him like some other doctors.

In 1996 I was diagnosed with a herniated disc in my neck and lower back. Traditional medical doctors advised me to stop all physical activity and warned If I continued, I would end up in a wheelchair! After seeing Dr. Kavieff, not only am I completely out of pain, I am extremely healthy and more active than I was 10 years ago. Dr. Kavieff has completely transformed my life and added great value and significance. I am still a patient today and I am forever grateful!
